"Is this an apartment or a film set?"... New Geomdan Royal Park City II Expands Collaborations with the Broadcasting Industry
Royal Park City II, located in the Seo-gu district of Incheon, is gaining attention as a filming location for TV productions due to its exotic swimming pools, landscaping across 1.8 million plants, tea houses, lounges, and other luxurious community facilities.
According to DK ASIA, the project developer, a recent variety show by a general programming cable channel was filmed at the site. Celebrities including singer Sean, football commentator Lee Young-pyo, former basketball coach Hur Jae, and baseball analyst Yang Joon-hyuk participated in the shoot.
The show's backdrop included the large-scale walking trail, a 430-meter-long water feature, tea house, and swimming pool within the complex. Scenes also showed the cast dining at the Trinity Lounge, a community facility inside the complex. After their run, participants received exclusive yacht passes available only to residents. Catholic Kwandong University International St. Mary's Hospital provided medical support for the shoot.
Additionally, a local private broadcasting station plans to shoot a health program at the complex in early June, featuring a modern reinterpretation of Korea's classic national calisthenics.
Production crews from public broadcasters and general programming networks have also been visiting the site for drama shoots. Netflix and Disney+ have already completed filming upcoming series scheduled to air later this year.
Cho Hyun-wook, Executive Director at DK ASIA, stated, "Royal Park City II offers high-end residential facilities, six-star hotel-level community infrastructure, and landscaping even superior to the most prestigious Gangnam complexes like One Bailey. It's loved by both production crews and cast members as a ‘movie-like home’ where residential space, community, nature, and culture harmonize."
He added, "We will continue to collaborate with various content creators to promote the charm of ‘Royal Park City’ as Korea's leading resort-style, high-end urban brand."
