DK ASIA’s Exclusive Shuttle Bus for Residents Surpasses 500,000 Users
[Financial News] DK ASIA announced on the 28th that the cumulative number of users of the exclusive shuttle bus for residents of "Geomam Station Royal Park City," which has been in operation since October 2013, has surpassed 500,000.
DK ASIA operates a free shuttle bus service for the residents of Geomam Station Royal Park City, Korea’s first resort city.
Currently, a total of six shuttle buses operate between the first and second residential complexes. During peak commuting hours, the buses run every five minutes between the residential area and Geomam Station. If residents were to use public transportation instead of the shuttle, the one-way fare would be 1,500 KRW, amounting to 3,000 KRW per day for a round trip. Over a year, this would result in transportation costs exceeding 720,000 KRW. The shuttle bus not only provides a faster and safer commute but also helps residents save on transportation expenses.
Starting April 1, DK ASIA will also launch a free shuttle bus service for residents of "New Geomdan Royal Park City II." A total of four buses will be operated exclusively for residents, serving various purposes. In addition to commuting to nearby stations, the buses will be used for elementary school transportation and, on weekends, as dedicated shuttle buses for yacht rides along the Ara Waterway. Notably, two of these shuttle buses, specifically for yacht transportation, will be high-end "Black Label" buses running from the residential complex to Gimpo Ara Marina.
The boarding system has also been improved for residents' convenience. Using the "LG ThinQ" app, residents can issue a QR code ticket for the shuttle bus and scan it on the onboard verification device for easy boarding and alighting. Additionally, boarding and alighting will be possible with resident cards, ensuring accessibility for children and the elderly. To reduce the inconvenience of residents waiting for the bus in advance, the app will also provide real-time tracking of shuttle bus locations.
Kim Jung-mo, Chairman of DK ASIA, stated, “Including both the currently operating shuttle buses and the new ones to be introduced, a total of 12 exclusive private shuttle buses will be operating throughout Royal Park City starting in April, ensuring convenient transportation for residents.” He added, “As Royal Park City continues to expand, we also plan to introduce resident-only shuttle buses connecting different parts of the resort city.”
He further emphasized, “With these new services, residents will take pride in living in Royal Park City. DK ASIA will continue to invest and support initiatives to enhance resident satisfaction.”
