DK ASIA Completes 'Healthy Relaxation' with
Premium Fine Dining: 'Gourmet Galleria No. 1'
Opens at New Geomdan Royal Park City II on March 9
DK ASIA, one of the top three developers in Korea, announced that it held an opening ceremony for the first branch of 'Gourmet Galleria,' Korea’s top premium food and beverage (F&B) service company, at the New Geomdan Royal Park City II housing gallery on the 9th. The event was attended by DK ASIA CEO Cho Jae-man and key officials from both companies to celebrate the opening of the first branch, followed by a contract signing ceremony for the opening of the second Gourmet Galleria branch at New Geomdan Royal Park City I, Complex 1, on May 1.
This is the first time among Korea’s 'Big 3' high-end residential brands that Gourmet Galleria, the nation's top F&B company, has opened a location. Furthermore, by placing it in a commercial facility rather than a community amenity space, DK ASIA was able to attract a premium brand like Gourmet Galleria and establish a sustainable operating structure, which is also a first among the 'Big 3' high-end brands. DK ASIA’s Royal Park City continues to solidify its position in the 'Big 3' alongside Hyundai Engineering & Construction’s 'The H' and Lotte E&C’s 'LE EL' in the monthly high-end residential brand rankings announced by the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute.
Gourmet Galleria is Korea’s top premium F&B service company under the Hanwha Group, which acquired the F&B division of Shinsegae Food, formerly a leader in the apartment fine dining sector. Notably, Gourmet Galleria is scheduled to operate an F&B outlet at the Hanwha Galleria Department Store Luxury Hall, which leads premium lifestyles, this April. With the opening of this first branch, the two companies plan to strengthen premium F&B services to complete the 'Healthy Relaxation' of Royal Park City, Korea’s first premium resort city.
Meanwhile, DK ASIA is a real estate development company that has completed the residential standards for Korea’s first 5th-generation high-end apartments. Unlike existing construction companies or developers of 4th-generation apartments who withdraw from the site after completion, DK ASIA has implemented a residential model that remains on-site to directly operate and provide premium services at a 6-star hotel and resort level for the first time in Korea. Through this, residents are experiencing a residential environment where daily life becomes a moving experience while enjoying healthy relaxation, nature, and culture.
Recently, many 'high-end' apartments have shown limitations in maintaining services and content as the management and operation authority is transferred to the Council of Occupant Representatives 2 to 3 years after move-in. As a result, there are cases where differentiated programs emphasized at the time of sale are reduced or operating methods are changed.
In fact, a large-scale complex in Banpo provided a 'three-meals-a-day' service in the early stages of move-in, but due to low usage by residents and cost burdens, it was forced to change to a company that offered a lower unit price than the existing operator. An apartment in Yeouido is also operating breakfast and lunch services, but concerns are being raised about securing stable demand due to the scale of the complex and its location. These cases clearly show that if an operating system based on professional personnel and a stable scale of demand are not supported, it is difficult to maintain the service quality of high-end apartments over time.
Ultimately, DK ASIA established a separate professional operation system centered on 'premium service operation.' Royal Park City is equipped with a continuous operation and management system that directly takes responsibility from the planning to the operation of commercial facilities within the complex, including premium three-meals-a-day service, Korea's first 5D landscaping, operation of 38 types of community facilities at a 6-star hotel level, and 13 types of high-end residential services.
In particular, for continuous operation and management, DK ASIA has implemented various 6-star hotel-scale community spaces in commercial facilities rather than internal amenity facilities and is providing premium services. Gourmet Galleria was also moved into the Royal Trinity Lounge, a commercial facility within the complex, so that stable and continuous operation is possible without complaints about noise or odors.
In addition, the Royal Music Room, equipped with 6-star hotel-level interior and sound facilities, and the digital screen sports facility Royal Legend Heroes were reflected in the commercial facilities from the design stage. This is based on the decision to prioritize resident satisfaction through the provision of premium residential services, even if it means giving up rental income from commercial facilities.
DK ASIA CEO Cho Jae-man stated, "The meeting between DK ASIA and Gourmet Galleria is a symbol of the encounter between Korea’s top developer and top F&B company, and it is a strong expression of our will to provide premium fine dining to complete 'Healthy Relaxation' for Royal Park City residents." He added, "Through the opening of this first branch, we will develop Royal Park City’s three-meals-a-day program into an enhanced signature service to further solidify our status as Korea’s first premium resort city."
He continued, "Through the opening of the second Gourmet Galleria branch at New Geomdan Royal Park City I, Complex 1, on May 1, we will continue to add healthy relaxation, nature, culture, and special pride to the daily lives of Royal Park City residents.“
Meanwhile, DK ASIA successfully completed a premium resort city with a total of 6,305 units through the first phase of the Royal Park City project. Hana Bank served as the financial manager, and Daewoo E&C handled the construction. Currently, the second phase of approximately 16,000 units is being developed, with land acquisition completed and licensing procedures underway.
In particular, the second phase focuses on implementing an urban structure where culture and people are organically connected, centered on a waterway inspired by the Cheonggyecheon Stream, which symbolizes abundance. The plan is to integrate and design the complex into a single premium resort-style living area to maximize daily flow and residential convenience, completing it as a high-end residential landmark in Korea that looks ahead to the next 100 years.
