DK ASIA Sets Global Standard for Eco-Friendly Future Cities… Creating Everyday Spaces For Rest and Healing

Seoul Economic Daily— DK ASIA announced that it received the Grand Prize at the Climate Action Awardsheld on the 26th of last month, in recognition of its achievement as Korea’s first developer to create the “largest eco-friendly premium resort city in the Seoul metropolitan area that integrates urban living with resort concepts.” The Climate Action Awards are a special honor presented to public institutions, private companies, organizations, and individuals who contribute to global environmental preservation and climate-crisis mitigation. The Grand Prize, the highest honor granted to only one recipient among all participants, was awarded to DK ASIA this year.

DK ASIA’s premium resort-style city aims to create “everyday spaces where all generations can experience moments of inspiration.” In the field of landscape architecture, the company adopted an eco-friendly design philosophy centered on “Royal Park Citizens” (residents of Royal Park City), developing an environment where rest and healing become part of daily life. This model for a sustainable future city was a key factor behind the Grand Prize recognition.

DK ASIA’s capabilities in eco-friendly landscape architecture are now being recognized not only domestically but also globally. At the 2025 International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA) Awardsheld in Mumbai, India this past November, the company introduced its world-first “5D Landscape Design,” which incorporates the dimension of time, along with a mulching technique inspired by the aesthetics of human-centered Renaissance architecture. Despite being a first-time entrant, DK ASIA received an Honourable Mention. With over 80 member countries, IFLA is the most prestigious international organization in the field, and DK ASIA’s achievements are seen as setting a new global benchmark in landscape culture.

Domestically, DK ASIA continues to achieve notable results. The company won the Grand Prize at the 2025 Korea Livable Apartment Awards, which evaluates newly completed apartment complexes through on-site inspections conducted by experts, assessing eco-friendly landscaping, community facilities, residential services, and overall quality.

DK ASIA’s premium eco-friendly resort-style residential services extend beyond landscaping to encompass healthcare, fitness, dining, and daily well-being, significantly improving resident satisfaction. In the medical sector, DK ASIA introduced Korea’s first dedicated direct-care service for residents through a partnership with the Catholic Kwandong University International St. Mary’s Hospital, a leading university hospital in Incheon. Residents receive comprehensive medical support including emergency care, expedited consultations and reservations, and personalized health information.

The fitness facilities are also top-tier. The two-story indoor golf center features a 50-meter driving range with full GDR simulation systems and offers 15-minute professional lessons from an in-house golf pro. A hotel-style fitness center equipped with Technogym machines from Italy is also in operation. The extended 5.6-kilometer loess trail further enhances residents’ health and leisure experiences. Additionally, Shinsagae Food provides “Samsik Service,” offering fresh, nutrition-focused meals to elevate the overall quality of residential services.

DK ASIA also operates the “Royal Train,” a trackless train typically found only in large-scale resorts, allowing residents to comfortably enjoy world-class landscaping and various amenities. The community features year-round green ryegrass walking trails, two real aircraft featured in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, a heart-shaped mulching zone symbolizing love, and frame-style photo spots—creating emotional, immersive spaces where residents naturally experience rest and healing in everyday life.

These differentiated values are strengthening the brand stature of Royal Park City. The development is highly regarded for delivering a true “premium resort lifestyle” that matches its eco-friendly landscaping and high-end residential brand identity. According to the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute’s monthly rankings of high-end residential brands, Royal Park City has secured its position in the “Big 3,” alongside Hyundai Engineering & Construction’s The Hand Lotte Construction’s LE-EL—making it the first major developer brand to reach this status. Royal Park City has now transcended the category of luxury apartments to become a leading brand in eco-friendly premium residential culture in Korea.

Chairman Jeong-Mo Kim of DK ASIA stated, “By creating Korea’s first premium resort-style city that blends urban and resort functions, DK ASIA has set a new standard for future cities as the largest privately-developed eco-friendly cultural complex in the Seoul metropolitan area.” He added, “With eco-friendly design as our core value, we have focused all our capabilities on ensuring that residents can enjoy ‘healthy rest’ and a life where ‘everyday experiences become healing.’ These efforts have led to international recognition, including our award at IFLA, demonstrating the global competitiveness of DK ASIA’s eco-friendly landscape technologies.” He continued, “This award proves that the path DK ASIA is forging represents the future standard of urban development. We will continue to innovate and challenge ourselves to build cities where people and nature coexist and to create sustainable, eco-friendly future cities.”
