Over 10,000 Visitors Gather… DK ASIA’s “Royal Garden Festival Special Concert” Establishes Itself as a Leading Cultural Event in Incheon

Through its sponsorship of the Royal Garden Festival Special Concert, DK ASIA offered citizens from across the nation a memorable autumn evening filled with premium resort-style living, wellness, and healing in the heart of the city. Following last year’s success, this year’s large-scale special concert further elevated the status of the Royal Garden Festival as one of Incheon’s leading cultural and artistic events.

On September 27, DK ASIA announced that more than 10,000 people gathered for the “Royal Garden Festival Special Concert,” held as a celebratory event for the opening of the Buckwheat Flower & Loess Trail in Geomdan. The event was a resounding success, gifting attendees with cherished autumn memories that will long remain in their hearts. The concert, held on a special stage at New Geomdan Royal Park City II, was the largest in scale and audience size to date. The breathtaking scene of pure white buckwheat flowers swaying in the breeze created a dreamlike backdrop, captivating the hearts of all participants. Visitors enjoyed taking photos among the flowers, walking barefoot along the loess trail, relaxing in the Foot Care Zone, and riding the Royal Train to tour the beautiful landscapes and gardens of Royal Park City II. These diverse experiences attracted families, couples, and friends from Incheon and beyond, adding to the festive atmosphere.

The concert opened with the Grand Drum Media Art Show, renowned for its powerful traditional drum performance and spectacular fireworks, stirring the emotions of the gathered audience. Following this, acclaimed Korean traditional singer Oh Jung-hae, who played the role of Songhwa in the film Seopyeonje, delivered a heartfelt performance. The evening climaxed with a dazzling 12-minute fireworks display, mesmerizing the crowd. Popular singers such as Jo Jung-min, Wax, Kim Won-jun, and popera artist Arihyun graced the stage, offering a variety of performances that made the night unforgettable.

The Buckwheat Flower & Loess Trail, which officially opened on September 20, covers approximately 138,000㎡ (40,000 pyeong), making it the largest of its kind in Korea and the first in the nation to combine buckwheat flowers with a loess walking trail. The loess trail features five courses, extending more than 4.5 km (exceeding the traditional 10-ri length of 4 km). Made from high-quality loess, the trail has already become a popular destination for barefoot walking clubs nationwide, emerging as one of Incheon’s premier barefoot walking attractions.

To complement the walking experience, the site includes Korea’s largest Foot Care Zone, accommodating over 30 people at once. In addition, 1,500 maple trees have been planted along the “E Course” to form a maple tunnel, allowing visitors to enjoy seasonal beauty year-round, even after the festival.

The opening celebration of the Buckwheat Flower & Loess Trail runs until October 31. Every Saturday during this period, the Flower Garden at Royal Park City II will host various busking performances, a free game zone, Royal Train tours, barefoot walking experiences, and food stalls, providing a wide range of attractions for families, couples, neighbors, and visitors.

DK ASIA Chairman Kim Jung-mo stated, “With each passing year, the Royal Garden Festival Special Concert grows in quality and stature, firmly establishing itself as a premier cultural and artistic event that attracts people from across the country, not just the local community. We are deeply grateful to the more than 10,000 visitors who joined us this year, enjoying the concert, photo-taking among the buckwheat blossoms, barefoot walking on the loess trail, and the Royal Train experience.” He added, “Looking ahead, DK ASIA plans to create Korea’s largest and longest 12 km Buckwheat Flower & Loess Trail and a scenic maple tunnel. Through the Royal Garden Festival, we aim to offer citizens not only premium resort-style living but also healing and relaxation in the city, positioning the festival as a signature cultural and artistic event representing not just Incheon but the entire metropolitan area.”
